Zha is an Audio-visual experience.
It happens in an electro acoustic environment where the live audio signal from the Kamancheh, Piano and Strings are being analyzed and processed in real-time and the data sets derived from these analysis are being used to manipulate the acoustic sound of the instruments and to generate and control the visuals.
So in a way the way of playing determines how the electronics are being produced.
The use of electronics in this piece leans more towards the compositional side of the process.
Most of the audio processing units which has been used in this piece are the devices which has been developed based on the studies on the sound characteristics and spectral analysis of the Kamancheh.
